The Last Song

Today is the opening of "The Last Song" the movie and I'm so excited to see it and to see if it's different from the book! Plus I just love Miley Cyrus' song that she sings for the movie! Here is a little preview of the movie....I'll let you know how it is!

"Til Summer Comes Around"

I heard Keith Urban's new song "Til Summer Comes Around" today and I almost started to cry...I think it has something to do with these lyrics:

"But I close my eyes and one more time
We're spinnin around and you're holdin on tightly
The words came out, I kissed your mouth
No 4th of July has ever burned so brightly
You had to go, I understand
But you promised you'd be back again
And so I wonder 'round this town
'Til summer comes around"

But I loved the song and just for a moment it made my heart hurt and smile all at the same time!

Something Beautiful

Right now I am loving NEEDTOBREATHE's CD, The Outsiders. If you haven't heard it yet you should! every song on there is great! They sing about real stuff that is honest and life-giving. I have fallen in love with their song, Something Beautiful and I think it will be their next big single!
Here is a fun video of them singing it:

"Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees,
I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful"

I feel like those lyrics are so true for so many people...we're waiting for something beautiful....for God to touch our lives in a way that transforms us and we can't help but share that beauty!

Washed by the Water

Tonight was the Needtobreathe Concert....and it was so good! The concert was sold out but somehow the security guard let me in for free! (I just love when that happens!) And I'm so glad I was able to go in. They were so great. One of my favorite songs of theirs is Washed by the Water...they sang this song last, unplugged and it was incredible...I have a video, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working currently! so sorry...I'll keep working on it! :)

You should also check out their new CD called The Outsiders, it is also very good! I think my favorite song on this album is Something Beauty....followed closely by Garden and of course Girl named Tennessee!

Send my Love through a Satellite

Tomorrow night I'm going with some friends to a Steve Moakler, Ben Rector & Andrew Ripp concert and I'm very excited about it! My favorite song by Steve Moakler is Hesitate, but I also love Satellite and especially these few lyrics:

Steve Moakler - Satellite

Your tears dismissed me to the red-light train

I said baby, someday this will all make sense

She dropped my hand,

she said tell me when it does,

oh please just tell me when it does.

You can send my love through a satellite

and I, I can fell like you're here tonight

When your love is a blinding light, light

I don't know why I close my eyes to the one thing I can't deny

Remember Me

Today I went to see the new movie Remember Me and it was so good and so sad. I haven't cried like that in a movie in a while....I left with a pounding headache because I was trying to hold my tears in. :( If you're looking for a good crying movie this is it! I did love the movie though! And I love this song, that plays in the trailer of the film.

Breathe Me by Sia

Help, I have done it again
I have been here many times before
I hurt myself again today
And, the worst part is there's no-one else to blame

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small
and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

Ouch

I have lost myself again
Lost myself and I am nowhere to be found,
Yeah I think that I might break
Lost myself again and I feel unsafe

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small
and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

Madly In Love with You

I just got back from a silent retreat, where we had 36 hours of no talking, just silencing to the sweet whisper of the Lord. It was such a sweet time! If you ever get a chance to go on one I highly recommend it!

"Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders." Deuteronomy 33:12
May you find rest on the Lord's shoulder's this day!

Enjoy these lyrics by Sean McConnell - Madly in Love with You
(Written from God's perspective)

See you down there everyday
Trying to find a different way
To build some kind of ladder to the sky

Trying to find some way to see
Secrets of eternity, and they don’t come all at once
And you don’t know why

Well how do you think it feels to hear you screaming out my name
While all the while I’m trying to open up your heart
See you when you cry yourself to sleep
It’s tearing me apart

I know you wish you could see me
That’s the way it has to be
Someday you’ll understand,
don’t you lose your faith in me

I know you wish you could hear me
Sometimes it’s so hard to do
But every morning sunrise it says
I’m madly in love with you
Yes I’m madly in love with you
Yes I’m madly in love with you
Yes I’m madly in love with you

I know that you’re waiting for,
A chance to come in from the war
If only a moment, if only a day

A place where you feel safe and warm
A sanctuary from the storm
Until all of these questions fade away

But I cannot count on all the signs
You’ve passed away as mere coincidence
And I'm running out of ways to break through
Like a lonely lover, Waiting by the ocean
Ill never give up on you

I know you wish you could see me
That’s the way it has to be
Someday you’ll understand,
Don’t you lose your faith in me

I know you wish you could hear me
Sometimes it’s so hard to do
But every morning sunrise it says
I’m madly in love with you
Yes I’m madly in love with you
Yes I’m madly in love with you
Yes I’m madly in love with you
