2011 New Years commitment

Last January I decided after numerous failed attempts at keeping stupid resolutions like exercising more, eating less, and so on. (I think the only thing I've actually kept is not drinking soda for 5 years!!). So last year I decided to try something different…I really love reading but just don't ever seem to find the time or others things get in the way, like watching some stupid tv show, so for 2011 I decided to try and read one book a month. I started and realized I was really enjoying it and could do 2 books a month and so I did! Here are my 24 books for 2011, I tried to mix up types of books as well!

January - "Pride & Prejudice" by Jane Austen
January - "In the Name of Jesus" by Henri Nouwen
February - "What Difference Do it Make?" by Ron Hall & Denver Moore
February - "Better Than My Dreams" by Paula Rinehart
March - "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud" by Ben Sherwood
March - "Change of Heart" by Jodi Picoult
April - "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper
April - "Sex and the Soul of a Woman" by Paula Rinehart
May - "SexGod" by Rob Bell
May - "Something Borrowed" by Emily Giffin
June - "Something Blue" by Emily Giffin
June - "In A Pit With A Lion on A Snowy Day" by Mark Batterson
July - "Safe Haven" by Nicholas Sparks
July - "Sisterhood Everlasting" by Ann Brashares
August - "For Women Only" by Shaunti Feldhahn
August - "The BFG" by Roald Dahl
September - "Codependent No More" by Melody Beattie
September - "Esio Trot" by Roald Dahl
October - "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins
October - "Between the Dreaming and the Coming True" by Robert Bensen
November - "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins
November - "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins
December - "Blue Like Jazz" by Donald Miller
December - "Best Friends Forever" by Jennifer Weiner

Some were better than others but there wasn't a single one that I didn't like!!! And now as I think about my 2012 New Years commitment, I'm still trying to decide what to do but i have decided to continue my 2 books a month just for fun!! I encourage you to join me in reading 2 or even just 1 book a month for 2012!!!! Happy New Years everyone!!
